Accessibility approach
The portfolio aims to be usable with a keyboard, screen reader, magnification and reduced-motion settings. WCAG 2.2 level AA is the target for ongoing improvements. This page describes the features provided; it is not a claim of independently audited conformance.
Features provided
- A “Skip to content” link and labelled navigation.
- Semantic page headings, text alternatives for images and visible keyboard focus.
- A layout that adapts to smaller screens and enlarged text.
- Support for the reduced-motion preference in your operating system.
- Keyboard controls for lookbook tabs and the full-screen photograph viewer.
Keyboard controls
- Move between controls
- Use Tab and Shift + Tab. Activate a link with Enter, or a button with Enter or Space.
- Lookbook tabs
- Use the left and right arrow keys to change looks. Home selects the first look; End selects the last.
- Photograph viewer
- Use the left and right arrow keys to browse and Escape to close. Focus returns to the photograph you opened.
- Mobile navigation
- Activate Menu to open the navigation. Escape closes it and returns focus to the Menu button.
Known limitations
Some archive image descriptions identify the project and photograph number rather than describing every garment or visual detail. The downloadable PDF CV has not been independently assessed for accessibility.
If a photograph description or the CV does not give you the information you need, contact Storm for help or an alternative text format.
